The Ten-Minute Play Showcase
Pulaski Tech Performing Arts Center
March 1, 2018
The Yarn is proud to partner with ACANSA to put on The Ten-Minute Play Showcase, a celebration of new work written, directed and enacted by local artists. The festival will be co-produced and directed by Hilary Trudell, founder of The Yarn and the Director of Local Programming at the Clinton School of Public Service. The primary goals of the festival are to engage high school students and community members in the art of play writing and to provide artistic opportunities to Arkansans. As a prelude to the competition, a Playwriting Bootcamp will be offered to high school students and community members. The Bootcamp will be held Saturday, November 4th and Sunday, November 5th. Space is limited, so please RSVP here.
All Arkansans, high school age and older are welcome to submit a play for consideration. A panel will select five plays to be produced at Pulaski Tech on March 1, 2018. All winning playwrights will be invited to attend a lunchtime panel discussion at the Clinton School of Public Service prior to the production. Plays must be no more than ten minutes in length. Submissions must be accompanied by the form linked to below. Plays may be submitted through the below form or emailed to email@example.com.
The deadline for play submissions is December 22, 2017.
